Building Toys We Love To Play With

Play is considered essential in our house and we sure take it very seriously, in a playful way that is of course. It is safe to say that it takes up the majority of our daily routines. While I do like to plan certain activities in advance & guide my children, I believe that the majority of play content should come from the child's own imagination and experiences. That is why majority of our toys are either made of wood or are open ended. Wooden toys are timeless, they grow with your child. The majority of them are non-toxic, so they are safe for the child of any age and are environmentally friendly (I take this part very seriously, but that is another blog post of its own). The best part about these toys is that they encourage independent play time spent in a creative way. Play is the work of a child and toys are definitely the tools.
